We are writing to thank you for your commitment, Passion, Love and the support you have given for the cause of the gospel. We are so grateful for our partnership with you in Winning Africa to Christ. We count it a great privileged to be ambassadors of the good news to our generation. Each year our goal of reaching a billion souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ by 2050 becomes more real to us and we are so thankful for your prayers.

We have been greatly blessed this year to be able to hold several gospel campaigns despite the worsening economic situation in the world today. We were not able to carry out all the gospel campaigns as we had planned at the beginning of the year but the following account outlines those that we were able to do.

CRUSADES

Mauritius Harvest Crusade
We were privileged to start the year with the crusade in Mauritius. It is an island in the Indian Ocean with the majority of the population being Hindu. As it is a Hindu stronghold we faced strong resistance from the Hindu loyalists trying to hinder the meeting from taking place. The power of the Lord prevailed and the key Hindu leaders accepted Christ and they surrendered their idols to be destroyed. Also key political leaders received Christ during the crusade.

Kabowa Harvest crusade
Kabowa crusade happened just after the presidential elections and many people were disillusioned by the results, not sure what would happen next. During the crusade thousands gathered and many gave their lives to Christ. One lady who had fetishes surrendered them and they were burnt as she gave her life to Christ. The spirit of God moved powerfully and led to revival in the churches that are in the area the organization of the crusade.

Mbirizi Harvest Crusade
Mbirizi region is a Muslim strong hold in the western parts of the country but every evening thousands of people would congregate eager to listen to the word. Evangelist Steven Sebyala preached the word of God and many men and women gave their lives to Jesus. One lady whose family was Muslim came forward fearfully crying and surrendered her life to Jesus. She could not go home so one of the pastors took her to stay with her. Jesus also showed his power and love to the people. Many were delivered from different kinds of demonic powers and diseases.
During the empowerment seminars many Pastors, Church leaders and gospel ministers caught a new fire and zeal to evangelize and win the lost in their regions.

Luwero Harvest Crusade
This region was greatly affected by the war in the 1980s and up to now many people are still struggling with the effects and are still traumatized. One of the reasons for taking the gospel in that region was to restore back the hope to our dear Brothers and sisters in that region. We witnessed the hand of God touching many and hundreds gave their lives to Christ. All signs pointed to a great and fruitful Gospel Crusade as Pastors from all churches opened up their hearts and embraced the new converts with great joy and prayed for them to be filled with the spirit. These pastors with great unity and made it easier for us to do the work of the gospel.

Karamoja Region Harvest Crusade
We are so grateful to God because of what he did for the Karamojong people. In the Karamoja region people have been deeply rooted and bound to their inherited customs, cultures and traditions for many generations. The response we received there was far beyond what we expected.

Every evening from 3pm to 6pm, Hundreds of People traveled from all the towns and villages around to come to the crusade ground and listen to the Gospel very keenly. Our hearts rejoiced every night as we watched hundreds giving their lives to Christ and many were delivered from demonic powers and oppressions and others were miraculously healed from different sicknesses and infirmities. We were able to take some relief items that we distributed to the less privileged people in this region

Besides the crusade in the evenings, we had a very powerful empowerment seminar. Leaders from the region participated and they were greatly blessed and empowered a new fire was ignited in the hearts of these dear ministers to win and transform the Karamoja region.

Kampala East Harvest crusade
This was a two week celebration of the power of God in the suburbs of Kampala. The deliverance of many and those giving their lives to Christ brought great joy to our hearts and we praise God for the victory and the Harvest of the year.

EMPOWERMENT/ TRAINING CONFERENCES

We held empowerment conferences in different parts of the country rekindling the pastors and church leader’s zeal in winning the lost.

Kitintale empowerment /training conference

Mayuge empowerment / training conference

Kamuli empowerment/ training conference

Kabowa empowerment/ training conference

Mpererwe empowerment/ training conference

Bushenyi empowerment/ training conference

Kamwenge empowerment/ training conference

The Africa Harvest Convention /Leadership Training

We crowned this year with the Convention that brought together over 2000 leaders from Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya, Southern Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and other countries of world. We are so grateful to God for his goodness and his provision towards this convention.

The purpose of the Convention was to awaken and fun the flame of the Passion of every Gospel Minister, Church leaders and Christian workers to take their intended place as instruments of God on earth and to understand better the urgency of the Evangelism. The theme of this convention was “GO 365” (Mark 16:15) and he said unto them, “Go ye into the entire world, and preach the Gospel…”

The John Maxwell leadership Training has been a great blessing to us. This training completely changed and transformed our mind set and perspectives in leadership and serving God. Together with the “Church Life” training by Pr Ken Cramer participants received a better revelation of what leadership entails and can now be more effective in leading the church in the 21st century.

Harvest Greetings!

I want to update you about the just concluded victorious Kampala Lubaga South Harvest crusade which ended with a lot of joy. It was held from 27th March to 3rd April 2011 at Wankulukuku Play Ground.

All the 8 days were very good and on daily basis we reaped a good harvest even though we were so disturbed by our poor sound system, which has given us a hard time in the last two and a half years but we are still raising money to buy a new one.

The last day was tremendously good, Evangelist Steven Sebyala preached about; “Embracing God’s power to overcome the power of witchcraft and demons,” which is terrorizing so many people across the continent.

He used the text of Simon the sorcerer in the book Acts 8:5-13 “Simon the sorcerer who bewitched all the people of Samaria, both young and old and convinced them to trust and worship witchcraft and demons until they heard and believed the gospel of the kingdom of God preached by Phillip the evangelist which brought great Joy in the whole region.

It was a powerful and great moment when many lifted their hands and accepted Christ as their lord and savior gave up witchcraft and some brought their witchcraft items and we burnt them. This was the pure Gospel at work and it is what has the power to change the world!

When he prayed for the sick and others who were afflicted with different infirmities and we experienced a great outpouring of the Holy spirit and the power of God at work.

It is great to preach the gospel and let us keep working together, until we win this continent to Christ. Your continued prayers and support keeps the wheels of the Gospel moving.

Next is the Transformation Night taking place on 22nd April from 6:00pm to 6:00am at Nakivubo Stadium down town Kampala
Together in the Harvest,

Steven Sebyala

Beloved I am writing to thank you for your prayers for the just concluded gospel festival in Mauritius.

It was a great honor to preach to the people of Mauritius.

This beautiful nation of Mauritius is an Island located in the Indian Ocean between Africa and Australia and it is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the World

The biggest percentage of the population are descendants from India, and they hold traditional Hindu beliefs which has kept them in great Bondage for countless generations

These people were so welcoming to me, and the meetings were overwhelmingly attended, the crowds were not only very hungry for the gospel but also very responsive and attentive and the Lord responded to them in a very great way. The altar calls were overwhelmingly big and I am yet to receive the total figures of the decision cards filled.

Hundreds were filled with the Holy Spirit, so many got healed from different diseases, sicknesses and infirmities but the most outstanding miracle was of a woman probably in her 50’s who stood up from her wheel chair and started walking freely to the stage, sparking wild celebrations and raising the faith of others.

Many others who were also lame threw away their crouches and walked freely. Many demon possessed were delivered, crying very loudly. A woman who was totally blind for many years could not stop shouting when she got back her sight. Time could not allow us to attend to all the testimonies that were so amazing and the people could not stop singing because of the great Joy for the Glory of God.

I believe this Harvest came in because of your prayers and support. So please continue praying for those precious people who believed the Gospel, that they may grow in his knowledge.

Pray for the next crusade in Kampala – Kabowa which will take place from 27th March to 3rd April 2011

Together in the Harvest Field

In our pursuit for reaching a Billion Souls by 2050, our goal is always to reach 20 million people per year and we began the year 2010 with a great plan, which you may have seen in the mails we sent you at the beginning of that year.

In the planned eighteen major Crusades, we were only able to conduct 10 crusades because of the lack of effective sound system and a truck which we have been fundraising for and still have a long way to go. Despite having no truck and also having an ineffective sound system we are so thankful to God because in those ten crusades, we saw his hand in many areas as thousands responded to the gospel, thousands of decision cards were filled, and hundreds recommitted their lives to God almost in every region throughout the year.

We also intensified the training of leaders through our Africa Harvest School of Ministry and Missions and 236 ministers went through our training.

We held four evangelism impartation seminars in different regions and as a result 76 new churches were planted. All the pastors of those new churches Participated in the recently concluded Africa Harvest convention held at Calvary Temple worship Centre in Kampala, Uganda from December 1st to 12th, 2010. This Convention brought together over 2000 leaders of different denominations and independents from eleven different countries of Africa.

The purpose of the Convention was to awaken and fun the flame of the passion of every Gospel Minister, Church leaders and workers to take their intended place as instruments of God on earth and to understand better the agency of the Evangelization of Africa and the world, making a difference in their communities and Nations as the theme was Advancing the Kingdom. (Matthew 11:12)

This convention fanned up the flames of the Holy Ghost fire on our heads and we are all set to go through the jungles, valleys, over the hills and mountains, through storms, waters and fires taking the Gospel of the Kingdom until we make Africa a Jesus Continent.

We believe 2011 is going to be a year of a greater harvest and we are more than ready to reap this harvest at any cost even as our number one goal for this year 2011, to reach a minimum of 20 million people across Africa.

Like we have always gone out together through your prayers and support, I humbly request you to go with or send us throughout this year 2011.

Thank you so much for the love that you have shown to us through your support of the Gospel. Since the year began, we have hosted five Gospel Campaigns in which we have seen the mighty hand of God move and thousands give their lives to Jesus Christ.

The recently concluded crusade in Juba, Sudan has been the largest gathering to date. God truly humbled us when He did above and beyond our mere human expectations. Although we paid a high price in executing that gathering, the pain we endured strengthened our faith and was of little consequence in comparison to the great turn out of the crowds everyday and the winning of thousands in Southern Sudan!

The 21 years of civil war in the southern region of Sudan has left hundreds of thousands of normal Sudanese people dead and millions displaced from their homes, land, and villages. These past two decades have put this part of Africa and its people at a sheer point of desperation. The social structures were dismembered, development curtailed, dreams shattered, and hopes waned.

This type of environment is ripe for harvest; the people were hungry for the Gospel! The attendance was over 150,000 people each evening and during the last days of the crusade, attendance reached 200,000! The people traveled from a radius of 120 miles to come to the crusade to hear Jesus preached. The total count of those who gave their lives to Jesus was over 50,000!

I thank the Lord for all His goodness and faithfulness He has shown us giving us the grace to reap where we did not labor much. We thank you in this great harvest, surely ALL AFRICA SHALL BE SAVED and together we can reach 1 billion souls with the Good News!
