Recently, crusade attendance has multiplied and our current sound system is no longer adequate to reach the whole crowd. Also the truck that has traversed Africa’s hills, valleys, mountains, and slippery roads is now beyond repair and this has become a hindrance in meeting our schedule for the rest of the year.

We need $272,000 to be able to acquire the sound system and the truck. Through miraculous circumstances, God has made an exceptional sound system available to us. The system is worth more than $450,000 and has been offered to us for $130,000 and a new truck costs $142,000.

We believe that these two harvest tools will be vital as we reach our vision of one billion souls.

Every day that we have no truck or sound system, people die without Christ. Please help us get to them with the Gospel. The crusades are planned, the team is trained and ready, the doors are open, but we cannot get to them without the truck and the sound system.

We have been greatly blessed this year to be able to hold several gospel campaigns despite the worsening economic situation in the world today. We were not able to carry out all the gospel campaigns as we had planned at the beginning of the year but the following account outlines those that we were able to do.

CRUSADES

Mauritius Harvest Crusade
We were privileged to start the year with the crusade in Mauritius. It is an island in the Indian Ocean with the majority of the population being Hindu. As it is a Hindu stronghold we faced strong resistance from the Hindu loyalists trying to hinder the meeting from taking place. The power of the Lord prevailed and the key Hindu leaders accepted Christ and they surrendered their idols to be destroyed. Also key political leaders received Christ during the crusade.

Kabowa Harvest crusade
Kabowa crusade happened just after the presidential elections and many people were disillusioned by the results, not sure what would happen next. During the crusade thousands gathered and many gave their lives to Christ. One lady who had fetishes surrendered them and they were burnt as she gave her life to Christ. The spirit of God moved powerfully and led to revival in the churches that are in the area the organization of the crusade.

Mbirizi Harvest Crusade
Mbirizi region is a Muslim strong hold in the western parts of the country but every evening thousands of people would congregate eager to listen to the word. Evangelist Steven Sebyala preached the word of God and many men and women gave their lives to Jesus. One lady whose family was Muslim came forward fearfully crying and surrendered her life to Jesus. She could not go home so one of the pastors took her to stay with her. Jesus also showed his power and love to the people. Many were delivered from different kinds of demonic powers and diseases.
During the empowerment seminars many Pastors, Church leaders and gospel ministers caught a new fire and zeal to evangelize and win the lost in their regions.

Luwero Harvest Crusade
This region was greatly affected by the war in the 1980s and up to now many people are still struggling with the effects and are still traumatized. One of the reasons for taking the gospel in that region was to restore back the hope to our dear Brothers and sisters in that region. We witnessed the hand of God touching many and hundreds gave their lives to Christ. All signs pointed to a great and fruitful Gospel Crusade as Pastors from all churches opened up their hearts and embraced the new converts with great joy and prayed for them to be filled with the spirit. These pastors with great unity and made it easier for us to do the work of the gospel.

Karamoja Region Harvest Crusade
We are so grateful to God because of what he did for the Karamojong people. In the Karamoja region people have been deeply rooted and bound to their inherited customs, cultures and traditions for many generations. The response we received there was far beyond what we expected.

Every evening from 3pm to 6pm, Hundreds of People traveled from all the towns and villages around to come to the crusade ground and listen to the Gospel very keenly. Our hearts rejoiced every night as we watched hundreds giving their lives to Christ and many were delivered from demonic powers and oppressions and others were miraculously healed from different sicknesses and infirmities. We were able to take some relief items that we distributed to the less privileged people in this region

Besides the crusade in the evenings, we had a very powerful empowerment seminar. Leaders from the region participated and they were greatly blessed and empowered a new fire was ignited in the hearts of these dear ministers to win and transform the Karamoja region.

Kampala East Harvest crusade
This was a two week celebration of the power of God in the suburbs of Kampala. The deliverance of many and those giving their lives to Christ brought great joy to our hearts and we praise God for the victory and the Harvest of the year.

EMPOWERMENT/ TRAINING CONFERENCES

We held empowerment conferences in different parts of the country rekindling the pastors and church leader’s zeal in winning the lost.

The Africa Harvest Convention /Leadership Training

We crowned this year with the Convention that brought together over 2000 leaders from Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya, Southern Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and other countries of world. We are so grateful to God for his goodness and his provision towards this convention.

The purpose of the Convention was to awaken and fun the flame of the Passion of every Gospel Minister, Church leaders and Christian workers to take their intended place as instruments of God on earth and to understand better the urgency of the Evangelism. The theme of this convention was “GO 365” (Mark 16:15) and he said unto them, “Go ye into the entire world, and preach the Gospel…”

The John Maxwell leadership Training has been a great blessing to us. This training completely changed and transformed our mind set and perspectives in leadership and serving God. Together with the “Church Life” training by Pr Ken Cramer participants received a better revelation of what leadership entails and can now be more effective in leading the church in the 21^st century.

In the planned eighteen major Crusades, we were only able to conduct 10 crusades because of the lack of effective sound system and a truck which we have been fundraising for and still have a long way to go. Despite having no truck and also having an ineffective sound system we are so thankful to God because in those ten crusades, we saw his hand in many areas as thousands responded to the gospel, thousands of decision cards were filled, and hundreds recommitted their lives to God almost in every region throughout the year.

We also intensified the training of leaders through our Africa Harvest School of Ministry and Missions and 236 ministers went through our training.

We held four evangelism impartation seminars in different regions and as a result 76 new churches were planted. All the pastors of those new churches Participated in the recently concluded Africa Harvest convention held at Calvary Temple worship Centre in Kampala, Uganda from December 1^st to 12^th, 2010.  This Convention brought together over 2000 leaders of different denominations and independents from eleven different countries of Africa.

The purpose of the Convention was to awaken and fun the flame of the passion of every Gospel Minister, Church leaders and workers to take their intended place as instruments of God on earth and to understand better the agency of the Evangelization of Africa and the world, making a difference in their communities and Nations as the theme was Advancing the Kingdom. (Matthew 11:12)

This convention fanned up the flames of the Holy Ghost fire on our heads and we are all set to go through the jungles, valleys, over the hills and mountains, through storms, waters and fires taking the Gospel of the Kingdom until we make Africa a Jesus Continent.

We believe 2011 is going to be a year of a greater harvest and we are more than ready to reap this harvest at any cost even as our number one goal for this year 2011, to reach a minimum of 20 million people across Africa.

2011 Pray With Us (58)

Beloved I am sharing with you a simple illustration that will encourage you as you carry your cross and follow Jesus on a daily basis.

Luke 9:23-26

“And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake the same shall save it.

For what is a man advantaged; if he gains the whole world and loses himself or be cast away?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words of him shall the son of man be ashamed when he shall come in his own glory and in his fathers of the holy angels.

This period of Easter reminds us of the cross of Jesus, His death and His resurrection. He dearly paid the price which you can never understand in this life time. There is a good parable about carrying the cross I want you to reflect on during this Easter period.

Three men were given a cross each by their master, to carry them to a certain Destination and they had to carry the cross for a long Journey, their master knew that by the time they get to the end of the journey they would be extremely tired because the crosses were too heavy and long.

But as they set off for the journey their crosses became so heavy for them yet they were not allowed to seek any assistance in carrying their crosses. As they were laboring and sweating on their way, different people advised them to trim their crosses and make them lighter and smaller for them to carry, convincing them that what matters is not the size of the cross but the image.

They tried to labour but eventually two of these men gave hid to the advice and trimmed their crosses to become shorter and lighter for them. So the crosses were no longer heavy for them to carry, but the third one refused to temper with his cross by making any alteration on it. These two gentle men traveled a 30 days journey within in one week as they went they could not stop, mocking criticizing and scorning their third friend who did not take the advice and had to pay a huge price. When the two gentle men who had trimmed their crosses arrived to the spot next to their destination, they got their so comfortable with no sweat, no bruises without any sign of traveling with some thing so heavy for them.

There was a very big and deep river where their master was supposed to find them and help them to cross to their final destination. But when they reached there their master was not there because it was not the time they were supposed to be there, so they had to wait for him while complaining and murmuring as to ask why their master was not there when they reached.

Finally the third person arrived extremely tired with scars and bruises and when these two guys saw him, they laughed at him, ridiculed him calling him old fashioned. While he was taking all the insults from the two friends, their master also arrived with refreshments among other things because he knew the repercussions of the journey. And all the three were very glad to see him and they all told him their stories of the journey to that destination, then he told them that those crosses he gave them were going to act as bridges for them to cross the river to their final Destination  and every cross had to only carry one person, so he told the first one to lay his cross on the river and the cross had been trimmed so it just sunk, told the second one to do the same and the same thing happened to him then the third one put up his cross and it fitted so well and he walked on it to the final Destination, so the two friends could not cross to the final destination and their master had nothing to do for them and that was their end.

But the master did not need the cross to cross over neither could he do anything for them from that point however much they cried to him.

With this story I need to encourage you to carry your cross as the lord gave it to you without trimming or modernizing it and to follow Jesus as the Bible tells you, not as any Pastor, Bishop, Priest, Apostle, Rev or any preacher but as the bible tell you.

Today many have tried to modernize Christianity lightened the cross and telling others that Christianity costs you nothing, please do not listen to such, the lord knows the time, the journey will take you.

Let us not be ashamed of our old raged cross and of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christianity is worth suffering for; you exchange your cross someday for the crown. Keep the faith

Our original intention was to hold 7 Crusades in seven regions of Kenya in January and February but due to Financial constraints we have decided to do the first three and then go back and plan for the rest .

As we have always worked together in these crusades I have felt like I should not carry the weight alone but seek for your assistance as usual in these three crusades in Kenya.

I have begun with a huge debt but it is worth it compared to the response of the people in all these regions we are estimating to reach close to ten million people in these three regions during this month of January and all the churches have cooperated and contributed so well with us but still the cost is very big. Among the millions of reasons in which to offer thanks unto God, there is none greater than the salvation of souls.

As we celebrated this Thanksgiving, we thank God for the thousands of souls that have been saved over the course of this past year. We are also so thankful to you for the sacrifice, commitment, and faithfulness that you have shown in supporting the Gospel for the Kingdom of God in Africa.

“. . .God is not unjust to forget your labor of love which you have shown towards His name. . .” Hebrews 6:10

We are so thankful to God for all the blessings in your life and are praying that the Lord may continue to richly bless you and pray that you continue to live a life of thanks each and every day; for indeed the Lord is good.
