Beloved of God,

With great pleasure, I want to invite you to the Africa Harvest Convention 2011 scheduled to take place from December 2nd to 11th, 2011 at Calvary Temple Worship Center in Kampala, Kitintale – Luzira Port Bell Road.

The theme this year is, ‘GO 365’ taken from Mark 16:15,

“And He said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel…”

My heart is burning with a passion to see God’s ministers everywhere focus all their strength, energy and resources on winning the lost and dying world. “Go 365” is a call to make soul winning an everyday part of our lives and ministries.

My friend do you see the millions of people out there in the darkness of sin and grim despair? Look around our churches and homes, multitudes are groping in darkness and in sin with no light to find the way. In Luke 16:27-28, the rich man in hell pleaded with God to send some one to warn his five brothers about hell. I would like to think that he was not only overwhelmed by hell’s fire but also by the laxity and complacence of the church on earth. His concern might have been that the church would not get the message to his brothers in time. He desperately needed a now response for his brothers and so does our Lord Jesus Christ for the world.

Beloved of God, the weary world is urgently waiting for our words and acts of life, hope, mercy and love. I am convinced that when you and I purpose to stir up the speed of evangelism through daily practical acts of love, kindness and generosity, a new momentum of soul winning will be set up for every Christian every where to follow.

This year’s convention is geared towards drawing your attention to the urgency of the master’s command.

Re-known and seasoned ministers of God will stir up our hearts to rise up and:

“Go 365” winning all those with whom we share our lives everyday,

“Go 365” winning those in all our communities,

“Go 365” far away to the uttermost until the entire world has heard

I believe that after ten days of great teachings, Praying and fellowshipping with other men and women of God from different parts of the world, our hearts will be stirred up, constrained with eternal love and endued with the Holy Ghost power to Go 365 to rescue the lost and dying world.

Please make all efforts to come and invite other ministers to come with you.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Steven Sebyala

We want to wish you a Jesus filled 2011 and we pray for the Lord’s continuous leading, guidance, goodness and mercy upon you throughout this year.

We also want to share with you the good report of the recently concluded Africa Harvest Convention held at Calvary Temple worship Centre in Kampala, Uganda from December 1st to 12th, 2010.

This Convention brought together over 2100 leaders of different denominations and independents from eleven different countries of Africa.

We are so grateful to God for his goodness and his provision towards this convention.

We acknowledge that it was because of our partnership with you that this convention was a great success, and we are very thankful to God for bringing us together in advancing his Kingdom. All the Love, care and generosity you have demonstrated towards the peoples of Africa, reveals the hope for the salvation of Africa.

The purpose of the Convention was to awaken and fun the flame of the passion of every Gospel Minister, Church leaders and workers to take their intended place as instruments of God on earth and to understand better the agency of the Evangelizing of Africa and the world thus, making a difference in their communities and Nations as the theme was Advancing the Kingdom. (Matthew 11:12)

We were privileged to host the John Maxwell leadership Training team called Equip for the first Three days of the convention led by Dr Don and Sue Wilson from Phoenix and Kevin and Lisa Ingram from Kansas who took us through intense training and teachings that completely changed and transformed our mind set and perspectives in serving God. Dr Don also donated two sets of booklets of the Equip leadership training materials volume one and volume two, which they taught. From this training we no longer see leadership as a burden but as a privilege and the leaders cannot wait to attend the 2011 harvest convention to learn from volume Three and volume Four.

After the first three days of this intense Equip training, the convention went on for more Nine days where other great leaders like Bp. Courtney McBath, of Norfolk VA, Ps. Ken Crammer of Gloucester VA, Ps. Mark and Pam Morrow of Williamsburg VA, Steven Sebyala, Alex Mitala and other Ministers from Uganda and other parts of Africa brought a great impartation to the participants as their teachings, preaching and motivations helped us to evaluate the message we proclaim, the programs we run and the plans we have, to ensure that they are in line with Christ’s mandate and plan for advancing his kingdom and also to lay and share strategies for the evangelization of Africa and participants were greatly encouraged in discovering their potential in transforming their communities and Nations

We are so thankful to God for our mobilizing team who worked so tirelessly to make this convention a great success despite of some small Challenges we faced which among others included:

We planned and budged to accommodate and feed 1500 leaders but we had over 2100 pushing us into a loan in order to take care of them.

Over 50 leaders came when they were Sick and some came with Babies who were also sick.

Because of the intensity of the work, most of our team members especially from the ushers became sick after the convention

We had electricity problems in our area during the conference time which was not expected forcing us to use a generator most of the days causing our expenses to raise higher.

Because of the ever-increasing terrorist threats, Police advised us to increase on the number of security deployment more than we had planned, causing our budget to rise higher.

Despite all that, I want to take this opportunity to thank the lord for all his goodness and faithfulness; Thanks to all our friends and partners for all your prayers, advices, and all kinds of support and contributions towards this great convention all this was the evidence that all Africa shall be saved and indeed we shall together make Africa a Jesus Continent.

Together to advance the Kingdom

UPDATED: Convention 2010

Dear Beloved,

Thanks for your prayers and support
The Africa Harvest convention is going on well till 12th December 2010.
We are hosting more than 1500 leaders from all over Africa.
In the first week of December we had the John Maxwell teachings with Pastor Don Wilson and Pr. Kevin which was very great.

This week we are having different preachers from Uganda and Pr. Ken Cramer, Pr Mark Morrow and Bishop Courtney Mac Bath from America.
God has been so good to us and we believe all ministers will go back well equipped on How to Advance the Kingdom of God.
You can check on Africa Harvest mission face book to view some of our picture

Continue praying with us for God’s provision

God Bless you

Follow Africa Harvest Convention 2010 on face book!

Dear friends,

It is another exciting opportunity for me to invite you to the 2010 Africa Harvest convention from December 1 to 12, 2010 at Calvary Temple Kitintale, Kampala under the theme:-

“Advancing the Kingdom of God”
…
I think you will agree with me that the increasing anxiety, tension, economic collapse, divorce, despair and the multiplication all sorts of evil around us are evidence that the ruler of this world, Satan, is pouring his fury to make life hard for people in our world today. All people groups, irrespective of their color or race, are desperately searching for help. They are looking everywhere for answers!

Unfortunately, even the church seems to be short of the answers to the world’s problems. This should be disturbing to every one who professes to be a minister of the Gospel of Christ. Do we remember our Master’s Agenda and mandate? Are we fulfilling that mandate? Are we, like Him, preaching to the poor? Are we bringing healing to the broken hearted? Are we preaching deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind? Are we setting to liberty them that are bruised? Are our ministries in line with the scriptures in Luke 4:18 and Isaiah 61:1-4? Are we true agents of the answers that people are looking for today? If this is not so, what on earth are our ministries here for?

It is with this concern that I ask you not to miss this year’s convention. With the help and support of seasoned and kingdom minded servants of God from different parts of the world, we will be helped to understand better the urgency of advancing the Kingdom of God.

In this convention, we will take time to evaluate the message we proclaim, the programs we run and the plans we have, to ensure that they are in line with Christ’s mandate and plan for advancing his kingdom. We will discover more ways of handling the problems, tribulations and hardships that we may face as we advance the Kingdom to every corner of our world.

I am sure we are going to receive great impartation, so I encourage you not to miss this convention. You are a vital instrument in the hand of our Lord for advancing His Kingdom. Come lets learn how, and invite many more leaders to also attend.

Accomodations will be provided to all but those from distant places are encouraged to confirm with our Kampala offices in time.

Together, to advance the Kingdom,

Under the theme “The Invisible Jesus” the Convention drew Pastors, Ministers, and Church leaders/workers from the Great lakes region of Africa, starting from Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania down to Zambia. The residential 10-day life changing Convention in the heart of Kampala Uganda’s capital saw many church leaders rededicate themselves to missionary service. Others were ordained for the ministry at the climax of the convention. The word of God delivered by Pastor Ron Johnson to the Convention was nothing less than God breathed. Thank you Pastor for being an instrument of the hour in the hand of the Master.

On the night of Good Friday, the City of Kampala – Uganda’s capital was ignited with a new kind of flame. The flame was a prayer night at the Nakivubo War memorial soccer stadium from dusk to dawn.

It has become an annual event that focuses on prayer. The vision bases from the night of travail for Jacob and that of Jesus in the garden. We are looking forward for the 2006 event.

The passion of the Christ – not the movie, was ablaze in the hearts of the believers. The rain during the night was only a ignition for prayer as the saints braved it.
