THE RADICAL FAITH
I want to share with you about the radical faith
By referring to the word radical faith, I want to refer to a faith that wins at any cost, this was exactly the kind of faith the patriarchs had as it is quoted in the book of Hebrews 11:27- 35.
The darkness and the resistance of their time could not stop them from achieving their destiny; verse 29 saying that …… by faith they passed through the Red Sea as if they were walking on dry ground, Verse 30…. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down when surrounded seven days Verse 33…. through faith they over threw kingdoms, they obtained the promises, by faith they stopped the mouth of lions. Verse 34…by faith they quenched the violence of Fire, by faith they overcame the edge of the sword the weak became stronger in battle, defeated the attacking armies; the list goes on and on.
As you read this devotion you may be fighting huge battles in life or facing very Stiff resistances and even those you thought were close to you are unable or fail to stand with you, just like it as with Paul in 2nd Timothy. 4:16-18 I do here by remind you that all life battles are worn by our faith in God. We are advantaged to live in better days than those of our patriarchs, and if they did not faint in the night of those dark days but worn their battles we have no excuse if we faint in our time.
Romans 4:18-21 talks about the radical faith of our father Abraham; it says that against hope he believed in hope, did not grow weak in face, did not consider his body not even his wife’s body when they were too old, he did not stagger at the promises of God through un belief but was always strong giving glory to God and was always persuaded that God was able to fulfill his promise at any cost.
Radical faith will never consider the natural evidences around it; but only God’s word, and will always Glorify God a midst the battles or struggles of life.
In Matthew 8:5-13, we see Jesus marvels at the way an officer demonstrated his faith to him, when his beloved servant at his home was very sick and grievously tormented by an evil spirit. This officer spoke to Jesus with no Punic at all, and even suggested to Jesus to just send his word at his home to heal his servant. Jesus was amazed by the great trust the officer had and commended him to all generations.
Verse 10-12 … Jesus Makes this statement. Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no not in Israel. And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of Heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness.
It is this kind of radical faith that Jesus wants to see in our lives; it is what will make us sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
On that note I want to encourage you to strengthen your faith instead of complaining about your Situations or struggles of life
Radical Faith is ever fighting and is never afraid of any battle.
Let us amaze him with our Radical faith but not with our unbelief. Your victories are wrapped in your faith, Radical Faith.
Blessings
